A Mackay property underwent a complete interior stripoff as part of a commercial refurbishment. We were engaged to strip the site back to its structural shell — removing all wall linings, floor and wall tiles, ceiling fixtures and performing a full concrete cleanup — handing over a clean, empty space ready for the new fitout.
The existing space had multiple layers of history: old tiling, wall linings, suspended ceilings and hardened concrete residue, all of which had to come out cleanly without damaging the underlying structure.
We worked top-down — stripping suspended ceiling panels and battens to expose the structural slab, then moving through the space removing wall linings and tiles, walls first and then floors. Floor tiles were lifted with a mix of electric strippers and hand tools in tight spaces, with debris bagged and removed daily. The concrete substrate was then cleaned back, removing all adhesive and levelling compound, before a final grind, scrape and sweep left a flat, clean surface. The site was handed over ahead of schedule with photo documentation at every stage.
